Seven services.
One through-line.

Every service we offer is built around the same premise: brands deserve real manufacturing expertise, not generic consulting advice. We've stood on the production floor, reviewed the contracts, and watched what goes wrong. That's what we bring to your engagement.

MoCRA Compliance Advisory

Federal oversight of cosmetics is new. Most brands still aren't ready.

The Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act introduced the first federal oversight of cosmetics in decades. Every brand selling in the US has obligations — and most don't know exactly what they are yet. We help you navigate registration requirements, safety documentation, and reporting systems before regulators come looking.

Includes
  • Facility registration guidance
  • Product listing support
  • Safety substantiation review
  • Adverse event reporting setup
  • Responsible person designation
  • Small business exemption analysis
Best for: Brands currently selling in the US, brands approaching compliance deadlines, or brands whose retail buyers have started asking for compliance documentation.
02

Formulation Development & Technical Review

From concept to stable, compliant formula — with an in-house cosmetic chemist.

Dan Pont, our Chief Formulating Officer, has 8+ years of biomedical and cosmetic chemistry experience. We handle new formula development from ingredient selection through stability protocols, and also review existing formulas for regulatory alignment, performance claim support, and reformulation opportunities.

Includes
  • Ingredient selection and compatibility
  • Stability testing protocol design
  • Claim substantiation support
  • Existing formula technical review
  • Regulatory ingredient compliance check
  • Reformulation recommendations
Best for: New brands developing first products, established brands needing formula review or optimization, brands receiving pushback on claims from retail partners.
03

Ingredient & Raw Material Sourcing

Find the right ingredients from suppliers you can trust — without overpaying.

We identify qualified ingredient suppliers, evaluate raw material specifications and COAs, find sourcing alternatives for supply chain resilience, and help optimize the cost-performance balance of your formulation. Where referral arrangements with suppliers exist, we disclose them upfront before any recommendation is made.

Includes
  • Supplier qualification and vetting
  • COA and spec sheet review
  • Alternative ingredient identification
  • Cost-performance optimization
  • Supply chain risk assessment
  • Specialty and sustainable sourcing
Best for: Brands looking to reduce input costs, brands experiencing supply chain disruptions, or brands seeking differentiation through premium or sustainably sourced ingredients.
04

Testing & Lab Advisory

Know which tests you actually need — and which labs to use for each one.

Every product category has different testing requirements, and retail buyers increasingly ask for specific certifications. We map your exact testing needs to your timeline and budget, identify the right labs for each protocol type, and help you interpret results and address failures before they delay your launch.

Includes
  • Testing protocol selection by category
  • Lab selection (stability, micro, safety)
  • Efficacy and claims testing guidance
  • Timeline integration with launch schedule
  • Results interpretation and action planning
  • Retailer certification requirements mapping
Best for: Brands preparing for first or expanded retail, brands responding to retailer certification requirements, brands with tight launch timelines who can't afford test failures.
05

Contract Manufacturer Selection & Vetting

Evaluate manufacturers without tipping your hand — and without getting sold.

Selecting a contract manufacturer is one of the highest-stakes decisions a personal care brand makes. We identify and shortlist candidates against your specifications, evaluate capabilities and quality systems, conduct reference checks, review IP ownership terms, and guide you through negotiation — without the manufacturer knowing you have a guide. Referral arrangements, where they exist, are disclosed before any recommendation.

Includes
  • Manufacturer identification and shortlisting
  • Capabilities and capacity assessment
  • MOQ and pricing benchmarking
  • Quality systems and cGMP review
  • IP ownership and contract term guidance
  • Reference checks and audit preparation
Best for: New brands selecting their first manufacturer, established brands evaluating alternatives, brands who've outgrown their current contract partner or experienced quality issues.
06

Production Scale-Up Support

Lab scale works. Now make it work at 10,000 units.

The gap between a successful lab batch and consistent production-scale manufacturing is where most quality problems originate. We help you transfer process parameters, identify equipment requirements, define in-process quality checkpoints, and troubleshoot yield and consistency issues before they become recall-level problems.

Includes
  • Process parameter transfer documentation
  • Equipment specification and requirements
  • Batch record review and gap analysis
  • In-process quality checkpoint design
  • Yield and consistency troubleshooting
  • Scale-up validation protocol design
Best for: Brands transitioning from pilot runs to commercial production, brands experiencing yield or quality issues at scale, brands adding new SKUs to existing production lines.
07

Product Launch Strategy & Manufacturing Roadmap

A plan that accounts for what actually goes wrong.

Most product launch timelines are optimistic about what manufacturers can do and when. We build sequenced roadmaps from formula sign-off to first production run that include realistic buffers, dependency mapping, contingency plans, and clear decision checkpoints your team can actually follow — because we've watched dozens of launches succeed and fail.

Includes
  • End-to-end timeline with dependencies
  • Manufacturer coordination schedule
  • Testing and certification milestones
  • Contingency planning for common failure points
  • Decision checkpoint framework
  • Re-order timeline and inventory strategy
Best for: Brands preparing for a first or major retail launch, brands managing multiple SKUs with different lead times, brands with fixed retail deadlines who can't slip.

Three ways to engage

Most clients start with a free discovery call to figure out which model fits their situation. There's no obligation, no pitch — just an honest conversation about where you are and what kind of help actually makes sense.

Defined scope

Project-Based

A defined engagement with clear scope, deliverables, and timeline. You know what you're getting and what it costs before we start. Most projects run 2–8 weeks depending on complexity.

Best for: Specific, bounded needs — a MoCRA gap assessment, contract manufacturer vetting, formula technical review, or launch roadmap.

Discovery Call

A free 30-minute call to understand your situation, clarify what kind of help you need, and determine whether we're the right fit. No obligation, no sales process.

Best for: Brands who aren't sure what kind of support they need, or who want to ask direct questions before committing to anything.

A note on
preferred partners

We sometimes recommend ingredient suppliers, contract manufacturers, and testing labs where a referral arrangement exists. When this applies, we tell you — before the recommendation, not in fine print afterward.

Our reputation depends on the quality of our recommendations. A referral fee never changes who we suggest. If a partner isn't right for your situation, we say so and find someone who is. We've turned down referrals before. We'll do it again.

If you want to know whether a specific recommendation carries a referral arrangement, ask us directly. We'll tell you.
